In plain English
Project money must go directly to the approved SPV bank account or an independent escrow or custodial arrangement—not to TitleShield, its founder, staff, agents or personal accounts.
1. The no-custody rule
TitleShield does not receive, pool, hold, safeguard, manage, invest, transfer or distribute capital contributions, property deposits, development funds, rent, service charges, operating income, sale proceeds, dividends, returns or distributions. This applies to cash, bank transfer, cards, digital assets and every other payment form.
2. Where project money belongs
Money must be handled through the channel approved in the transaction documents, such as:
- a bank account in the legal name of the SPV or property-owning entity;
- an independent escrow account operated by a qualified provider;
- a trustee, custodian or other appropriately authorised institution; or
- another lawful arrangement confirmed by the transaction’s professional advisers.
The bank or provider—not TitleShield—controls receipt, safeguarding and release.
3. What TitleShield may record
TitleShield may record an agreed obligation, due date, approval, payment status, reference or evidence supplied by an authorised party. This is an administrative record only. It does not prove that money is genuine, cleared, recoverable, properly applied or protected.
4. Approvals and releases
A TitleShield workflow may record that authorised decision-makers approved an action. TitleShield does not become a bank-account signatory, issue payment instructions or exercise discretion over release. The entity and its authorised officers remain accountable.
5. TitleShield service fees
TitleShield may separately invoice for its own assessment, setup, governance, administration or technology services. Each invoice must identify TitleShield Limited, describe the service, remain separate from project contributions, and never describe the fee as an investment, deposit or subscription.
6. Prohibited payment requests
No founder, employee, contractor, adviser, marketer or agent may ask for project money to be paid into a TitleShield operating account, personal account, informal cash collection, crypto wallet or an unverifiable account.
If someone asks you to pay TitleShield
Do not send the money. Verify the approved SPV, bank or escrow details independently and report the request to hello@titleshieldpro.com.
7. Mistaken payments
Notify TitleShield immediately if project money is mistakenly sent to it. The money must not be used or treated as accepted project funds. Any return will follow appropriate banking, identity, anti-fraud, accounting and legal checks.
8. No guarantee
An SPV bank account, escrow arrangement or governance record does not remove transaction risk. TitleShield does not guarantee any SPV, bank, escrow provider, developer, landowner, participant or return.
Transaction-specific banking, escrow, AML/CFT, tax and accounting procedures must be approved by qualified Nigerian professionals before live onboarding.
